ABOUT
Abby Keul builds custom digital tools for commercial pattern cutting software to enable design-for-layout workflows with designer feedback.
Designers lead with their functional and aesthetic constraints and our projects make use of a brand's pattern archive to reveal their patterns' potential manifestations and associated cut layout efficiencies and meterage metrics.
Micro design decisions, grade rules, fabric constraints, and cut plans all add up to determine cut layout efficiency. The goal is to guide design teams toward a range of efficient design permutations, prioritizing original pattern integrity and the overall design vision.
